FugitiveThe Fugitive was an American drama series created by Roy Huggins. It was produced by Qinn Martin Productions and United Artists Television. It aired on ABC from 1963 to 1967. David Janssen stars as Richard Kimble, a physician who is falsely convicted of his wife's murder and sentenced to receive the death penalty. En route to death row, Kimble's train derails over a switch, allowing him to escape and begin a cross-country search for the real killer, a "one-armed man" (played by Bill Raisch) through factory towns, migrant communities and mob wars to clear his name and reach his final destination: justice. At the same time, Dr. Kimble is hounded by the authorities, most notably by Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard (Barry Morse), a man just as determined as Kimble to catch his elusive prey.

The Fugitive aired for four seasons, and a total of 120 51-minute episodes were produced. The first three seasons were filmed in black and white; the final season was in color.

LOOK AT HIM RUN

Inspector Gerard jeered softly. East, South, Mid-west. Now the Southwest. I'm sure of it.

Captain Carpenter bit down on a half-dissolved lime ball, savored the fragments, then swallowed them and said, How sure are you?

Sure enough to send five thousand WANTED circulars into the area, Gerard answered,

Why not Mexico? he asked Gerard. The border is right there.

Gerard shook his head. Not Kimble. He's too smart for that. In Mexico he'd be the Yankee, somebody different. No, he has to stick with crowds of Americans.

Gerard stuck another pin into the huge map. And one day I'm going to be in that crowd, he added, Right behind him.
