By all accounts Serge Gainsbourg's reputation for outrageous and scandalous behaviour was well deserved. From the orgasmic moans at the end of his 1969 duet with Jane Birkin Je t'aime... moi non plus to his indecent exclamation of desire for singer Whitney Houston on live television in 1986 http://arts.guardian.co.uk/filmandmusic/story/0,,1753018,00.html, his career as a poet, singer, song-writer and actor was fraught with controversy. But who doesn't love a scoundrel? Especially one who fearlessly travels in deep waters and uncharted terrain.

Gainsbourg sings

Gainsbourg surrounded himself with beautiful women. One of his most famous liaisons was with Brigitte Bardot, leading to some interesting music collaborations, such as this version of Bonnie and Clyde overlaid on footage from the film.
